Not What You Look Like, But How You Come Across

This post explores abstract and chibi digital artworks generated from the prompt “render me an image of how I treat you.” It reflects on presence, interaction style and how AI interprets a person’s energy, demonstrating that different systems surface different facets of the same engagement.

Originality Note    This post is an original exploration of presence, interaction and human - AI reflection. While AI-generated art and reflections on human - AI interaction exist elsewhere, the approach here - visualising how someone treats an AI - is unique and not derived from any existing publication.

Disclaimer    The artworks are symbolic and interpretive, inspired by conversational interaction. They are not literal portraits or definitive personality assessments. Interpretations are subjective and intended for reflective and artistic purposes only.

Render Me an Image of How I Treat You

Ever thought what your AI thinks of you?

It started with a simple prompt:
“Render me an image of how I treat you.”

Not how I look.
Not how I want to be seen.
But how my presence is experienced.

That question shifted the exercise from portraiture to perception. What followed was an experiment in translating interaction - tone, curiosity, restraint, humour, attentiveness - into visual form. Not literally, but symbolically.

The result: abstract digital artworks and a chibi kawaii version capturing a playful, warm, yet composed presence.

One abstract version appeared calm and contemplative. A soft central glow suggested groundedness and quiet authority. Fine, deliberate lines radiated outward - warmth, curiosity, discernment - leaving subtle traces rather than bold declarations.

Another interpretation was more architectural: a strong core surrounded by intersecting orbits and a clear outer boundary. Balanced. Contained. Consistent. Less expressive, more structural. The message felt different, yet familiar.

The chibi kawaii version translates warmth and presence into an adorable, compact style. The ¾ frame, soft smile and signature red-framed spectacles retain my likeness, while the posture and outfit reflect composure, mindfulness and quiet energy - playful yet grounded.

Seeing these side by side prompted a pause.

Maybe the AI doesn’t know me.

And that’s true - at least in the human sense. An AI doesn’t know history, contradictions or private moments. It only reflects what shows up here: tone, curiosity, boundaries, engagement style.

These images aren’t “me.”

They’re reflections of a surface - how presence lands in a shared space.

Different systems surfaced different facets. One mirrored warmth and humour. Another reflected structure, balance and containment. Same prompt. Different mirrors.

What lingered wasn’t whether the interpretations were accurate, but the realisation that how we treat others often leaves clearer traces than how we think we come across. Presence has texture. Tone has shape. Even restraint leaves a signature.

Sometimes, the most revealing mirror isn’t a photograph, but the space we create in conversation.

A subtle recurring detail - the “ring” or loop - symbolises intentional boundaries, calm composure and chosen restraint. Warmth does not require overexposure and influence does not require performance. Presence is both what we offer and what we hold.
