Finally watched the movie last night when I could not go to sleep... I prefer the original Karate Kid though this movie has its own merits... perhaps it should have been known by a different title as Karate is not part of Wushu or as they call it Kung Fu... found this alternate ending on youtube while I was browsing for some videos to watch today... maybe this shd have been the ending... what I like about this movie is the scenery... everything about China is old... well, its the oldest country in the world... ^^

Jaden Smith is a very talented actor... for a child his age... his portrayal of pain and frustrations comes across very real... I actually wanted to box those bullies' ears myself... This film was a Smith family project and its worth a watch... Jackie Chan's Mr. Han is different from Mr.Miyagi and its a good thing... bottom line is... the story teaches tolerance, patience, open mindedness... everything good...

If I am asked about the milestones in my life, I think it would be broken into 5 phases... Education, Career, Migration, Health Issues & Family... and if I am asked which is the most important to me, it will always be Family & Health... it took me a full circle to come back to this... 


This year has been the worst period of my life... I lost my brother and also a good friend... I made the difficult decision to move back to the land of my birth... coz this is where my family and loved ones are... but I will always miss my little brother... I can't bear to be away from where he is... coz' I don't want him to think he is forgotten... he will never be...


2 years ago today, I had my last bday lunch with my brother at Rizqun... I never thought that it would be the last birthday I shared with him... I miss him terribly and today, its especially more... regrets that we never put much emphasis on birthdays and festivals... 


Although am not supposed to mourn coz I am older but it does not feel right to be celebrating or doing anything festive... it will be a while I suppose before it will feel right... just wish I had done more when he was around... P. Ramlee's "Di mana Ku Cari Ganti" says it all...

I can truly say now that I know how it really feels to be alone... the day my brother left this earth, was the day, I realise what being alone in this world really means...
