One Year On - Remembering Fred
It’s been a year.
A year since Fred left this world quietly, as if not to trouble anyone.
And yet, his presence still lingers - in the small routines he once filled, the conversations that resurface unexpectedly, the gentle humour that softened the days.
Grief changes shape over time. It doesn’t vanish; it settles differently.
There’s less ache now, more gratitude.
Gratitude for the shared moments, for lessons spoken and unspoken, for the warmth that still surfaces when his name is mentioned.
Fred had a way of grounding people - never one for show, but always steady.
He gave without fuss, cared without words and left behind traces of quiet strength in those who knew him.
Today, I remember him not with sorrow, but with peace.
Some bonds don’t fade; they simply shift into the unseen - carried in memory, echoed in heart.
🕊️ One year on, still remembered. Still missed. Still here in spirit.
