Two Eagles, One Legacy: Honoring Hunter & Selwood

Disclaimer This tribute is a personal reflection and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the West Coast Eagles or the AFL.

Two Adams, One Club, Countless Memories

This year has been profoundly sorrowful for the West Coast Eagles community. We mourn the loss of Adam Hunter (Guernsey #39) and most recently, Adam Selwood (Guernsey #37). Both were pivotal players in our 2006 AFL Premiership team. Two of my favourite Adams. Gone too soon.

Adam Selwood had already faced immense personal tragedy with the passing of his twin brother, Troy. Now, he too has departed — suddenly and without warning.

Death doesn’t keep appointments. It just comes.
All we can do is honour, remember and carry their spirit forward.

To the Hunter and Selwood families — thank you for sharing these remarkable men with the football world. Their resilience, loyalty and courage will forever be part of the Eagles’ soul — and in the hearts of fans who cheered them on.

Rest in peace, Guernsey #37 and #39.
Your premiership legacy lives on. You will never be forgotten.
