Ninety Years, Still With Us

Some Birthdays Never Leave the Calendar

Dad would have turned 90 today.

It is the third birthday not being celebrated, yet some part of the mind still pauses and expects the day to arrive as it always did.

Funny how the years move forward, but certain voices, habits and conversations remain suspended somewhere close by.

Sometimes it is the smallest things that return unexpectedly:
a phrase,
a familiar expression,
an old song,
or the memory of ordinary conversations that once felt endless.

As time passes, I realise remembrance is not only about grand moments. It is also about the quiet continuity of presence - the people who shaped our lives so deeply that they continue walking beside us long after they are gone.

90 today.

Remembered always.
